25 DOC - Day 6 - The Glow

Last month I watched a video where Kristy (the owner of Some Odd Girl), showed how she colored "Ornament Tia" and made it look like the bulb was glowing and reflecting off of Tia.  I was so amazed that I had to try it.  It was actually a bit easier than I anticipated, but it did take about an hour to do.  I knew I'd be using the Carta Bella "Merry & Bright" paper pad, so selecting what copic colors I'd use was simple.  What became a "task" was figuring out the perfect layout for the card.  A week ago I found that SOG posted a new sketch challenge on their blog, (LOVE THOSE!!), so I took a shot and came up with this card.

I fussy cut the sentiment out of the paper pad and added pop dots.

I happen to think it's super cute, especially with all the added Recollections bling.

=)

Thanks for joining me and don't forget to read the important info below for your chance to win.

I've purchased paper collections and pads from many online sites and stores, but one of my favorite places to find the newest items is at WWW.ITSALWAYSFABULOUS.ETSY.COM.  Sue always has a great variety and her prices are pretty legit.

Not only has she given me a $25 Gift Certificate to her Etsy shop for 1 lucky winner, but she has also shared a COUPON CODE with me "AUTUMNFUN" that will save you 15% your total purchase and will expire on Thanksgiving Day.  Please make sure you check out her shop for washi tape, paper pads, stickers and many of the products I used on today's project... she has it ALL!!

P.S.  Share this blog post on your Facebook page and leave a second comment here telling me you did so.
